Starting with a comprehensive workplace wellness program, our Health Risk Assessment clinic will enable you to plan a series of workplace clinics to optimize health, reduce long-term costs and improve the bottom line.

Health Risk Assessment

The Health Risk Assessment is a comprehensive tool designed to assess the current health status and potential future risks of an individual. We Care's Health Risk Assessment includes:
  • A 20 minute, private interview with a Registered Nurse
  • A custom tailored questionnaire called the HRA Personal Risk Profile
  • Clinical measurements - blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, hip: waist ratio, blood sugar test and blood cholesterol test
  • A health status report assessing if the employee is at low, moderate or high risk for future illness or disability
  • A Doctor's letter for employees who receive a high-risk assessment.

The clinical data is collected and aggregated and a status report is generated that demonstrates the percentage of employees, by gender and age, at risk for specific disease groups. This information can help management identify specific high-risk employee groups and assist in planning upcoming wellness clinics and education sessions.

Wellness Clinics

  • Summer Living - West Nile Virus, skin cancer and sun stroke awareness
  • Woman's Wellness - personal health history & individualized health teaching
  • Osteoporosis - Osteoporosis affects 1.4 million Canadians. Bone Density testing utilizes a Clinical Bone sonometer, an ultrasound machine that scans the heel for bone weakness. Results are produced in 10 seconds, indicating a low, medium or high risk for developing osteoporosis. Based on the results, the trained nurses can provide individualized recommendations on diet, exercise and lifestyle changes or possible referral to your doctor for more detailed testing. The procedure meets the clinical standards of practice across Canada. We Care can set up a customized, cost effective clinic at your workplace, or testing can be arranged on an individual basis.
  • Eldercare - many employees are burdened with the responsibilities of caring for their aging parents. We Care offers telephone consultation or in-home assessments to assist them in accessing necessary healthcare.
